I’d really like to know how to clean for the high end commercial accounts like doctors and lawyers. How do you get them to call you?

I haven’t yet approached any commercial work but plan on doing so soon. I don’t want accounts, just individual jobs where I can get paid on the spot and not have to wait 30 days or more. What’s the best to approach a smaller mom and pop business? Should I call first and ask for permission to drop off some materials? Or, can I just mail them a flyer and follow up letter??

I get tired of marketing for commercial carpet cleaning accounts for example restaraunts; I am not that high priced and yet my bids are some times double the price of their current carpet cleaning company. I have researched the company they use and have found out they are not licensed, insured or certified. Well, no wonder my prices are higher! My company is licensed, insured and certified. Its so frustrating!

I’m just starting out in a new business in a new city although I have operated a business elsewhere for over ten years I am finding it hard to break into the market here and would appreciate any ideas to get the phone ringing.

I’m just starting in business. Should I concentrate only on commercial or branch to residential homes?

Great questions. I’ll be addressing these in detail on the webinar Thursday night!

And Kris, to answer your question…NO…I usually don’t advocate targeting restaurants. We’ll talk about that on Thursday.

And for Brian and Mike who are new in business, understanding commercial is something you guys need to know about NOW! Then you can make a decision of how to grow your business.

    Hey John,
I will come take a listen just to see what you have up your sleeve these days. Seems I can always learn something.

To be honest, we have been crushing the commercial accounts lately. We just closed a great $40K+/yr account last week.

My current dilemma is trying to put together an outside sales training, compensating, and tracking program for a commercial sales guy to take over what I’ve been doing. Any ideas?

I just want to be able to reduce the foot traffic in getting commercial accounts. Can this replace me going into the offices?

That’s great Jeremy! Those big accounts sure are nice during slow months.

Steve, YES, reducing your own manual labor of doing the sales work is exactly what we’ll be talking about.

    Hi John

We have tried to get the smaller commercial jobs in our area hotels, restaurants, shops etc and while those we have been succesful with have become a good regular source of income. We have wasted alot of time chasing business that has come to nothing for various reasons. Would appreciate any ideas that can reduce time and effort in getting to speak directly to the person who makes the decisions even if the decision is no.

    Thanks
