Tonight, We Take Over Google
By Hitman | August 4, 2010
I’m in the middle of creating a video for you with new concepts on how to completely take over the top ten of Google.
I don’t mean simply having ONE top ranking website.
But taking over the entire top TEN of the Google search.
So I’d like to get your feedback.
This is no easy feat to conquer by yourself. But it can be hugely rewarding.
What trouble are you having?
If you’ve already got one site ranking on Google and bringing you clients, what’s keeping you from having….
TWO sites ranking in the top ten?
Or FOUR sites?
Or SEVEN top ten rankings?
Tell me your thoughts.
Your feedback will help me know what to include in the video.

I followed some of your advice and now have one top ten ranking in Google. So now I’d love to have more. What do I need to do? Do you have an outline?
August 4th, 2010 at 6:12 pm
Hi John,
Can you inform/educate on how to add backlinks to websites. One of my sites 1stclasscarpetcleaning.com has dropped from 1st to 5th in the organic searches and I am wondering if backlinks is something I’m missing that my competitors are doing.
Also, you created carpetcleaningvancouverbc.com for me. I have yet to utilize Word Press effectively. Do you have my username and password so I can start adding content, blogs. I haven’t used it for awhile and lost my log in info.
Also, some competitors have commented on my old blog on WordPress and I am wondering what I should do as far as approving their comments. Will approving their comments help their rankings, is it beneficial to both of us? How does that work?
Also, I have dissappeard from the local map area. Any ideas on how to get back on? I haven’t obtained customer reviews. Is this part of the reason?
Thanks a million,
Harry

An outline, yes, a good idea.
Harry, I’ll get your log in and re-send it to you. Thanks for the other questions, we’ll address those in the video too. Good comments.
Thanks guys…keep the comments and questions coming.

Hi John,
I’m not sure what the challenge is. I’m #1 in my city, but it’s not very competative. I’m not sure why I don’t have 2, 3, 4, etc spots in the top 10.
Off the subject here but I may be moving to a city about 50 miles south of here. I don’t have much of a business up here, so maybe just starting over down there would be a good idea.
The other thing I was thinking was to keep this business addy (I use my folks addy for my business) & start another one down there. That way it would look like I have 2 businesses. The challenge obviously is at one of the places I’m going to have a 50 mile drive.

John
I keep going up and down. look forward to what you have to say thank you and keep up the good work
August 4th, 2010 at 9:25 pm
Sounds like a great idea John but I have 2 concerns, first are you only talking about having multiple listings in easier to rank for cities or the bigger more competitive markets also and second any concern about Google thinking your spamming the search engine and just de-indexing the sites completely.
Thanks,
Greg

I’ve always heard that if you get to aggressive with trying to position yourself, Google will punish you by lowering your rank.
If that’s not the case, tell me more!
August 4th, 2010 at 9:36 pm
Great questions!
Greg, to address your right away, “Yes, you can do this even in big cities. The truth is though it will indeed take more work and take more time to do this in a larger city. But I promise it’s well worth it.”
The other questions will be answered in the video I’m working on.

Hey John,
I dont see it as much now that my web site is a little older, but for a while I would climb up to page 6. Then I would have a few days to do a lot of off site SEO then I would loose 9 pages overnite.
Is this natural fluctuations due to the age of my website? too much SEO all at once… a combination?
Also I am curious, I rank #2 in my big city on yahoo, But I am still page 6 on google. I have noticed that google does not see a lot of my backlinks. Should I search for links on other sites that rank well in my city to use a “Google Template”
Thanks,
Jay Jetty

I’ve tried getting a second site to rank in Google but I just can’t do it. Is it possible to get more than a few ranking?
August 5th, 2010 at 8:01 am
Sounds pretty expensive to have 10 different websites. Do you also need different phone numbers and addresses?
August 5th, 2010 at 2:47 pm
I have noticed a lot more jobs from my Google maps listing compared to my organic listing. Both are on the first page for my city Bothell WA. My delima is getting listed for some of the other cities that I service, but if I’m not physically there it makes it difficult, but not impossible. Also how do you link a review from for instance City Search to your google map listing. Thanks for your help and we’ll do business soon.

See, even more great questions…stuff I wouldn’t have thought to teach about unless you asked.
These questions will be answered in detail in the FREE video I’m creating for you all.
But is it expensive to have 10 websites? This could be done for less than $20 a month with no upfront costs.
August 6th, 2010 at 10:06 am
Doesn’t sound realistic for large competitive areas because there are older sites that have been doing SEO for several years. It’s hard enough to get one new site ranked in the top five. Less than $20? You have definitely peaked my interest.
August 6th, 2010 at 10:25 am
Hi John
We have several sites that rank in the top 5 for the areas they serve.
The biggest challenge is mixing up content enough for sites will not get penalized for duplicate content.
We are working on three more at this time.

This is what I’m looking for to help me show up on Google – incidentally since you started helping me with SEO I have gone from page 6 to page 1 on google – now i want to get on the maps and up closer to the top of the page!
Have you heard of the boost that a post with your company name, address and phone number in it will give your company? It lends cred coming from almost any other site as a citation. I’ve been trying to do this for friends’businesses – list the whole thing after my comment.
August 6th, 2010 at 1:08 pm
Hi John,
We too have several sites for our carpet cleaning Macon company. We hold 4 to 5 of the top ten positions consistently. It would be great to take up even more slots to lessen the options of my prospective clients.
August 6th, 2010 at 1:45 pm
John, We rank #1 for Chamblee, but I would love to be higher in Atlanta. Since our address is Chamblee, a suburb of Atlanta, we haven’t been able to do this.
August 6th, 2010 at 2:32 pm
It would be great if I could get even two listings in the top ten in google.
August 6th, 2010 at 2:34 pm
Great comments guys, keep them coming.
Jeff emailed me and wanted to add this:
“My comment on the blog was not finished but it would not let me continue.
This what I wanted to say—
Our reviews used to be visible some time ago. Now all the reviews shown are of our parent company Sponge & Sparkle, Inc. How can I correct this? We had several Kudzu reviews that were for us, not Sponge & Sparkle, that have disappeared. They are still on the Kudzu site.”

I don’t seem to have good placement on Google, and after reading below, I have been spending too much to place my Adwords above others, with little payoff…I just dont seem to have the knowledge to get it improved.
August 6th, 2010 at 3:12 pm
I need to get this to the top. It is taking forever to get it there. What do I do?
August 6th, 2010 at 3:23 pm
My city is pretty larg, a lot of competition. It’s seems difficult to get a top ranking.
I’m reall looking forward to the info you’ll be sharing.
I have to admit though, sometimes this ‘stuff’ seems so overwhelming. It can be challenging trying to do it yourself.
August 6th, 2010 at 3:41 pm
Who would not want to have great ranking on google? What would it take on my part to be there? I have a web site- don’t know where we rank – don’t have the time or knowledge to make it better – what would it cost?
August 6th, 2010 at 4:46 pm
Also seems financially out of reach……..All those clicks will add up really fast. In past lots of clicks, lots of $, not a lot of results.
Put a stop to it, figuring I was doing things wrong.

I would love to know how to dominate the first page of google – we’ve never managed to get further than the middle of page 3, even with paid “local search” help (the Albuquerque carpet cleaning market is pretty competitive). I’ve tried many of the tips/tricks that I’ve discovered along the way, but none seem to make much of a difference.
August 6th, 2010 at 7:43 pm
You know John, I have been meaning to take you up on your offer for the separate rug washing blog/site but it’s all about having the time to take on a new project. I still feel like a rookie when it comes to SEO, even after all you have taught me. At least I am not totally clueless and can “hang” with the fast talking solicitors that call me daily! So, I think it is just a time thing for me. I’ll get there, and I do want to take over the top ten spots of Google. (With your help of course!)
August 6th, 2010 at 10:25 pm
If most of the first page was dominated by one company, i feel the costomer may then start to look on page two, so they are able to get more than one quote
August 8th, 2010 at 12:25 am
Oh man, these are some really good questions. Even better than I thought they’d be. I’ll be getting the video ready for you guys to answer all this in the next couple days.
